Two Empty Souls

She was lonely and afraid
She showed no emotions upon her face
In all her years of faithfulness, she found herself in an empty place
A strong believer in God above, but today she felt so unloved
She was lonely and afraid
She showed no emotions upon her face
In all her years of faithfulness, she found herself in an empty place
A strong believer in God above, but today she felt so unloved

He too seemed to have lost faith
In this world as a lonely wraith,
He felt the sadness of being alone,
And the need to change grew so strong.
He wondered who he even was anymore,
A ripple, a wave, or an empty shore.
His heart bled with empty tears,
And his soul harbored all his fears.
Could it be it was time for love?
He looks for answers to God above.
He too seemed to have lost faith
In this world as a lonely wraith,
He felt the sadness of being alone,
And the need to change grew so strong.
He wondered who he even was anymore,
A ripple, a wave, or an empty shore.
His heart bled with empty tears,
And his soul harbored all his fears.
Could it be it was time for love?
He looks for answers to God above.

Her loneliness echoed like a haunting scream
Her faith was fading like a shattered dream
Her emotions still had not feelings
But somewhere inside love was chilling
Her loneliness echoed like a haunting scream
Her faith was fading like a shattered dream
Her emotions still had not feelings
But somewhere inside love was chilling
(Myrna)
He looked inside to see himself
And found his thoughts upon a shelf.
Could it be he felt his need?
Perhaps God has planted His seed?
He looks into a mirror
And sees his eyes.
Filled with want
And he cries.
Long held tears begin to fall
And believes he’s ready to give all,
An open heart, a thirsty soul that long to be made completely
He looked inside to see himself
And found his thoughts upon a shelf.
Could it be he felt his need?
Perhaps God has planted His seed?
He looks into a mirror
And sees his eyes.
Filled with want
And he cries.
Long held tears begin to fall
And believes he’s ready to give all,
An open heart, a thirsty soul that long to be made completely

She had no grief to bear
For this time of loneliness had taken its share
So on this night she must decide
Does she follow the emptiness from deep inside
Or seek the love that did once abide
Her empty soul cried out with Hunger pangs
Not seeing any hope for her to gain
She had no grief to bear
For this time of loneliness had taken its share
So on this night she must decide
Does she follow the emptiness from deep inside
Or seek the love that did once abide
Her empty soul cried out with Hunger pangs
Not seeing any hope for her to gain
(Myrna)
And then they meet on a random path
Two empty souls in endless loss
And hearts afraid to believe at any cost
Find a seed of innocent love
Sent with the blessing of God above.
And then they meet on a random path
Two empty souls in endless loss
And hearts afraid to believe at any cost
Find a seed of innocent love
Sent with the blessing of God above.
