Home: About Us

Welcome to Beautiful Minds Poets, the Blog of the Beautiful Minds Community Facebook. We welcome you.  Each week we want to share posts of original poems, art, photos or thoughts of our members. Usually, we will post around 25 new poems by our members weekly.

You will also find pages dedicated to our members recent anthologies, publications, videos, etc.

Beautiful Minds was created by Maricris Duran Cabrera in 2016 with a handful of close friends.  Her goal was to build a community where poets, artists and musicians are celebrated, encouraged and publicized to nurture their success in creativity.  She was joined shortly thereafter by David Palmer as publishing partner, co-owner and administrator.  We are proud to be joined by Saroja Krishnamurthy as our third administrator

Maricris makes her home in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, Philippines.  She is an extraordinary poet, photographer and editor.  Her interests are vast, including reading, gardening, photography.  She has several manuscripts nearing publication, and is a co-editor of several online journals and producer of many online YouTube Videos. She has more ways of packing delight into every line of poetry which touches many hearts.

David makes his home in Auburn, Washington, USA (near Seattle).  He is a poet, photographer and editor (along with Maricris) of several online journals.  He is also working on manuscripts he hopes soon to publish. His avid interest in literature came from a family of readers, and he holds a Masters of Divinity Degree and is a former church pastor.

Saroja makes her home in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.  She is our third administrator in Beautiful Minds Community. She began writing in her native language of Kannada in 1984 and began writing in English in 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with post graduate studies in Kannada literature and commerce. She calls her poetry, "rainbows from my heart."
