BASKING IN THE GLOW

Colour me blue, I’ll weep the sky for you
I’ll wish your fondest dreams to all come true
Colour me green, like an Emerald Queen
Sitting on a pretty throne, exquisitely serene

Colour me indigo, like the evening sky
I will give thee feathers so you may fly
Colour me in lemon-honey, like the sun
I will brighten your day, my precious one

Colour me marvellously with Orange hues
Behold a snowy mountain's majestic views
Splash pretty pink on pale cheeks
Sprinkled with silver and gold mystique

I'll colour thee red, with kisses, juicy
You'll paint me green with envious beauty
Colour me Violet and wrap me in a bow
Love me neath sunshine's rays of yellow

Together we are a rainbow, glory after a storm
With fire in our hearts to keep us warm
Embracing life’s seasons, we’ll bloom and grow
'Til our last Winter morning, basking in the glow…
