"The Muses of Man"
Science fiction, fantasy or reality?
Episode 3

Wickedness

The Muses of Man
all live in the Forest of Muses
and every day and every night
they visit the minds
of human beings,
telling them
which path to take,
the path of Goodness,
if they are Muses of Goodness,
or the path of Evil,
if they are Muses of Evil,
all of them
except for one:
Wickedness.
When the Origin
put the muses on Earth,
they were all given
the power to talk to men,
all except for Wickedness,
who was, instead, banished to a cave
and put into a deep slumber.
In fact, she is the only muse
who feeds on the hearts of men
and men need a heart
in order to live.
When the Muses of Evil
triumph over
the Muses of Goodness,
Wickedness awakes
and slowly, slowly
devours that person’s heart
until the Muses of Goodness
put her back to sleep again.
If they fail,
she will eat the whole heart.
This is why
wicked people
are heartless.
